MEET OUR LEADERS
Reverend Lisa Thomas, Pastor of the Women’s Ministry, has been a faithful servant to the Lord for thirty years and a dedicated member of Lighthouse Community Church for over twenty years. After much prayer, the Lord called Reverend Thomas to the ministry to preach the Gospel; she was licensed in 2003 as a Minister and elevated to Evangelist in 2007. Reverend Thomas accepted the call as Pastor of the Women’s Ministry in May 2018. She also serves as the Master Teacher in the Lighthouse Community Bible Institute.
Rev. Thomas devotes her time helping women develop their God-given gifts and reach their optimum potential in Him.
Rev. Thomas is the sole proprietor of Blessed Transformation Hair Studio. Married for twenty-three years to Deacon Michael Thomas, together they share six children and seven grandchildren. Rev. Thomas lives by Gal. 6:1,
“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, yea which is spiritual restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.”
Evangelist Melanie Harrington, Assistant Coordinator of the Women’s Ministry, has been a member of LCC since March 2014. Answering the call of God, on November 22, 2015, she was licensed as an Evangelist, to exercise her God-given gifts, by Overseer Kevin D. Ragland. She also serves as an instructor of the Lighthouse Community Bible Institute. Evangelist Harrington is a retired educator of 29 years in the Pleasantville Public School District, where served as a Teacher and Literacy Coach.
Evangelist Harrington is married to James P. Harrington III and has three children and six beautiful grandchildren. She is a child of God and is passionate about serving and doing the work that God has called her to do, in building up His Kingdom.
She stands on the scripture: But they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up on wings like eagles; the shall run and not grow weary, they shall walk and not be faint.” ~ Isaiah 40:31
The Lord announces the word, and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng:
“Kings and armies flee in haste; the women at home divide the plunder. Even while you sleep among the sheep pens, the wings of my dove are sheathed with silver, its feathers with shining gold.” Psalm 68:11-13
